About the Project EmpowerU
Welcome to EmpowerU – We were excited to invite young trainers from Germany and France to our participatory project. 30 people took part in an inspiring binational training programme to develop their skills as volunteers in the educational field.
Through interactive workshops and barcamp formats, the trainers, aged 18 – 27, had the opportunity to develop and deepen their skills in a cross-border training programme. During the 4 days of cooperation and exchange, the participants not only received support from experts but also contributed their own competences, thus enriching the programme in a participatory way and entering into an intercultural dialogue with their peers. The expertise acquired there was integrated into educational work in the long term, as it was published and reproduced in digital form so that even more people could benefit from it.
We organized one preparatory online session and then met in Calais for a joint event. EmpowerU was an incredible opportunity to improve the way of facilitating workshops and to connect with like-minded trainers.
